All rugs are hand knotted wool or silk pile made on a cotton or woolen base, and are 100% authentic. The history of the Persian Rug

Weaving is one of the most ancient crafts in the world. It is mentioned in the Old Testament and in Homer's Lliad. Documents about weaving exist from the period of the Sassanid Dynasty, which ruled Persia from the third century to the middle of the seventh century.

Woolen carpets woven in Persia are referred to in Chinese Sui Annals (A>D>590-617). And who can forget Cleopatra's famous encounter with Caesar, arriving at his feet rolled up in oriental carpet?
